Little Snow Bells

The German name for snow drops – Schneeglöckchen – translates to little snow bells.

Journaling

I mentioned in passing that I changed the way I journal. This is one of the changes – a birding / nature journal (not the birding stories project journal, that changed into this one). It’s a mix of photos, texts and lists.
Here I wrote about a walk I took.
And some observations through the window.

If you would like to read more about the way I journaled 4 years ago (most of it still applies), I wrote a series of blogposts. Start here and follow the links in the post. Last year I wrote about Covid-related journaling and scrapbooking.

I rarely manage to take pictures of our resident farm robin at the feeder dish. So happy.

Under the Microscope

Of course I had to take out my USB microscope out into the snow!

I’m considering a Micro May this year, provided I’ll learn to focus the microscope better. Maybe I’ll get a stand.

Traces of Pheasants

I never bothered to learn about animal trails (will remedy that), but these are ones I immediately recognise.
Trails of pheasant wings and tails look very elegant.
