Where’s the Lighthouse?

Where's the Lighthouse?

Click the image to see where the lighthouse is.

Travemünde has an old lighthouse built in 1827 with a height of 31 metres. It closed in 1972 because of the building to the right – the Maritim Hotel. It blocked the lightsignal from the lighthouse when it was constructed. The new lightsignal is actually on the top floor of the hotel and is (with a height of 117 metres) the highest lightsignal in Europe.
