Ears or Horns?

Ears or Horns?

The German name of the Horned Grebe translates as “ears diver”. The answer to the question is – of course – neither. They’re feathers.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering why there are so few photos of birds from my Icelandic trip – it wasn’t about the birds. That will hopefully come at a later date, but then not with a tour group. With more time to stick around places we like (I could have happily spent the whole 10 days in the North). With more time to enjoy our surroundings. And definitely with time for birding.
