Just a Quick Note (no photos)

Just saw the first barn swallow!

I’ve been recording birds I see out ouf my window for the last two years and it is starting to get interesting. In 2017 the barn swallows arrived on the 9th of May, in 2018 on the 8th of May. So they are a month early. So happy – fingers crossed they build a nest where I can observe the young.

Cold Shoulder

Cold Shoulder

I see them regularly since they breed every year under the eaves of a barn across from our living room window, but they are just too quick and too cautious to be photographed often.

Another First

singdrossel

Yes, I’ve seen song trushes around, but only passing through. This one has been singing for the last three evenings, so maybe it’ll stay for the summer.

Grounded

The wind was at times so strong I had trouble walking (and breathing…). The gulls still in the air fought bravely.
