Castra Regina

Castra Regina

For me the most amazing thing about this wall (part of the Roman legionary encampment “Castra Regina”) is that it was discovered during the construction of a parking garage and they literally built around it. You can pay your ticket and get some history lesson at (alsmost) the same time. 😉

Tändlerei

Tändlerei

“Tändlerei” is a very old-fashioned word sometimes still used in the South of Germany and in Austria. It means a shop that sells sundries, occasionally used. The Tändlerei in Regensburg (2 shops across from each other) is well worth a visit, the owners are a lovely couple with a very friendly dog. They sell a lot of antiques from jewellery to toys, some novelty items and have a wide variety of Christmas ornaments – both new and old.

Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On

Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On

While I was watching coots mate the Dearest drooled (and shopped!) at Thomann. It’s all about the balance. 😉
