Fortified

The Doubs is currently unwilling to stay in its bed, so it is a bit of a gamble to walk along the river. Nevertheless it’s been a fun visit, Besançon is indeed a green city.
Our attempt to visit the cathedral and its famous clock was in vain, the church because they celebrated mass and the clock because you may visit any day except Tuesday. But since it was on our way to the citadel we didn’t mind too much.
