Day & Night

The young barn swallows (and yes, there are three survivors!) left the nest for their first flight last weekend while I was at work.

Day & Night 1

They can usually be found along the rain gutters when they want to be fed.

Day & Night 2

They still return to the nest for the night.

I’m not really sure, but I think I saw a third head this week.

Nice to See You

sumpfmeise

The marsh tits have always been rare visitors at the feeder. And it is more likely to see them in winter. So it is a treat to have them around. In the last week I’ve seen up to three at a time, they come a few times a day.
