Not Invited

The swallow came into the flat through the only open window without a screen and apparently felt quite at home. Getting rid of the guest was a bit complicated, because of the fitted screens and an open floor plan. In the end we had to close most of the shutters and kind of shoo the swallow to the exit… Usually it’s been the sparrows who dropped in unexpected (in the years before the window screens), with the occassional great tit. The swallow was a first.
